Contract Legal Writer

Resolve is looking for experienced legal writers to assist in producing United States immigration visa petitions.

As a contract legal writer, you will research and write US immigrant and non-immigrant visa petitions.

Your tasks will include:

  • Developing case strategies with a supervising attorney.

  • Reviewing documents.

  • Conducting internet research for relevant case facts.

  • Drafting persuasive, detailed support letters for petitions.

  • Compiling case exhibits.

Requirements

  • Two years or more experience as a professional writer or researcher. This experience does not have to be law-related. Relevant writing experience includes academic research or journalism.

  • Excellent analytical, writing and communication skills.

  • A strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to meet deadlines.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Experience in US immigration as a legal writer, legal assistant, paralegal, or other similar role.

Candidates must submit 1-2 writing samples and a resume, and may undergo a live writing exercise.

Please note that this is not a full-time role; cases will be assigned and compensated for on an ad-hoc basis.
